उद्घाटन अवसर पर महाविद्यालय के अधिष्ठाता डॉ. नित्यानंद पांडेय ने कहा कि पश्चिमी उत्तर प्रदेश का क्षेत्र अंतर्देशीय खारे जल संसाधनों से अत्यंत समृद्ध है, जिनका समुचित उपयोग कर मछली एवं झींगा पालन के माध्यम से किसानों की आय में उल्लेखनीय वृद्धि की जा सकती है। उन्होंने प्रशिक्षणार्थियों से मछली एवं झींगा पालन से होने वाली आय, लाभ तथा आधुनिक तकनीकों पर विस्तृत चर्चा की। इस प्रशिक्षण कार्यक्रम में आगरा एवं अलीगढ़ मंडल से आए 25 मत्स्य पालकों को नवीन तकनीकी ज्ञान के साथ-साथ व्यावहारिक प्रशिक्षण भी प्रदान किया जाएगा, जिससे वे वैज्ञानिक मत्स्य पालन को अपनाकर अपनी आजीविका को सुदृढ़ बना सकें।
उद्घाटन समारोह में मत्स्य विभाग मथुरा की मत्स्य निरीक्षक श्रीमती सृष्टि शर्मा की भी उपस्थिति रही। कार्यक्रम में प्रशिक्षण समन्वयक डॉ. परमवीर सिंह (सहायक आचार्य), प्रशिक्षण सह-समन्वयक सहायक आचार्य डॉ. मुक्ता सिंह, डॉ आर0 श्रीनु, डॉ. अम्बरीश सिंह एवं डॉ. साक्षी मौर्या भी उपस्थित रहे। कार्यक्रम का धन्यवाद ज्ञापन प्रशिक्षण समन्वयक डॉ. परमवीर सिंह द्वारा प्रस्तुत किया गया।

With profound sorrow and deep grief, the DUVASU family mourns the sad demise of Prof.(Dr.) Anil Kumar Srivastava, Former Vice Chancellor, DUVASU, Mathura; Former Director, ICAR–NDRI, Karnal; and Former Member, ASRB, who passed away on 25 December 2025.

During his tenure from June 04, 2022 to March 10, 2025 as Vice Chancellor, Dr. Srivastava provided visionary leadership and made significant contributions towards strengthening academic governance, research orientation, and institutional growth at DUVASU. His commitment to excellence in Veterinary and Dairy education will be remembered with deep respect.

The DUVASU family extends its heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family. We pray that the departed soul attains eternal peace and that the family finds strength and solace in this moment of profound loss.

The students were accompanied by 2 teachers Dr. Pradeep L. Doddamani, Asst. Prof. (Aquaculture) and Dr. Rathod Kumara, Asst. Prof. (AAHM).
Dr. N. N. Pandey, Dean, College of Fisheries Science DUVASU, welcomed the students and the faculty members. Students were given brief about the college developments and facilities by Dr. R. Srinu, Asst. Prof. (FPT) and Ms. Sakshee Maurya, Asst. Prof. (AQC). Students visited differ laboratories, class rooms and instructional fish farm at the college.
