VALEDICTORY FUNCTION Department of Veterinary Parasitology conducted a three days TRAINING PROGRAM under RKVY funded project for State Veterinary Officers on the topic: “Control of sub clinical parasitism in dairy animals” from 8th-10th February 2021

A three days training programme for Veterinary Officers of Uttar Pradesh Government on the topic “Control of subclinical parasitism in diary animals” was conducted by the Department of Parasitology from 8-10th February, 2021 under the RKVY funded project “Strategic control of subclinical parasitism for better animal health and enhanced productivity in Uttar Pradesh”. In this programme, 10 Veterinary Officers from Mathura, Agra, Aligarh, Hathras and Firozabad districts participated. During the training programme, lectures were presented from the experts of Gynaecology, LPM, Nutrition, and Medicine along with experts of Parasitology from DUVASU and CIRG. A hand on training was also provided to the trainees regarding conventional and advanced diagnostics and control techniques for subclinical parasitism. A total of 6 theory and 4 practical classes were taken during the training programme. The valedictory function was graced by Prof. P. K. Shukla, Dean, CoVSc and AH and Registrar of DUVASU, Shri. Sushil Kumar, Finance Officer, DUVASU, Mathura and Prof. Atul Saxena, Director Research, DUVASU, Mathura. All the dignitaries interacted with the participants and enquired about the training programme. All the trainees appreciated the efforts of Organizing Committee. They also shared that the training was well informative and they got the chance to refresh their knowledge which will be beneficial at field level.
