The College of Dairy Science, DUVASU, Mathura, celebrated National Milk Day on November 26, 2024 with a series of events celebrating the contributions of the dairy sector to health and development. The day began with a welcome address and an insightful talk by the Dean of the college, Dr. Rashmi Singh, highlighting the importance of milk in nutrition and its role in the economy.
Dr. A.K. Madan, Registrar, DUVASU, Mathura and the Chief Guest for the occasion, delivered an inspiring talk on the advancements in dairy science and its future prospects. The event witnessed the active participation of notable university officers, including Dr. Nithyanan, Dean, College of Fisheries Science, Dr. R.P. Pandey, Dean, College of Biotechnology, Dr. Amit Singh, Controller of Examinations, Dr. Rajneesh Sirohi, In-charge Student Welfare, Dr. Vinod, Director Research, Dr. Sarvajeet Yadav, Director, Institute of Para Veterinary Science. Faculty and students from the College of Fisheries Science, Veterinary, and Dairy Science, along with other university officers, graced the occasion.
The celebration featured a variety of competitions, including Rangoli, poster-making contests, Milkaura Quiz Competition, with winners received prizes for their creativity.
The event concluded with applause for the efforts of the organizing team, faculty members, and students, who together made the National Milk Day celebration a grand success.
