On the occasion of “World Food Day,” the College of Dairy Science, DUVASU, Mathura, had the honor of hosting a distinguished lecture on “Physical Chemistry of Milk” delivered by Dr. K.D. Aparnathi, the former Head of the Department of Dairy Chemistry at SMC College of Dairy Science, AAU, Anand, Gujarat, on October 16, 2024. Dr. Aparnathi is also an active member of scientific panel on milk & milk products, FSSAI along with Indian National Committee of IDF. The event was graced by the presence of Dr. Rashmi Singh, Dean of the College of Dairy Science, who warmly welcomed Dr. Aparnathi.
In his lecture, Dr. Aparnathi shared invaluable insights with the B.Tech. (Dairy Technology) students, delving into the fascinating world of milk’s physical chemistry. He explored the modern innovations shaping the dairy industry today, from advanced dairy processing techniques to the latest methods in quality control. He focussed on sustainability, emphasizing the vital role that students future leaders in the field will play in ensuring a secure, sustainable, and efficient dairy food system for generations to come.
The lecture not only enriched students understanding but also encouraged them to actively contribute to the challenges and innovations in the dairy sector.
